Guild code of conduct
Outdated and need revise.
Here in lies a summary of the rules for Hostile Foragers. In order to join amd stay in the guild you must follow them. Not knowing them might be an excuse once (depends on the violation), but twice is not acceptable. If you notice a member repeatedly breaking the rules - send a tell ingame to me or an officer. Any person may protest a rule or rules of this contract at any time with me (Arashi).
Like I said above - one misstep can get you a warning, repatable abuse of the rules will get you kicked from the guild.
To be a little less legal for a minute, I’m not asking a lot here guys (and girls) but just a little ettiquette on your part. Try and respect your fellow members:
- All players are asked to maintain some maturity when in guild chat. I know you all want to talk and have fun but when many people are online the guild chat is to be kept to guild matters (items, quests, WoW related topics). Any member can ask for a little silence in guild chat when a group containing guild members only is in an instance. It’s very frustrating not to be able to read party chat beacuse of guild chatter. When the guild is raiding (PVE and PVP likewise), guild chat should be kept to the very minimum. (The interface is very flexible with making channels and what not, use that. Thanks)
ie. Good - Anyone want to do Zul’Farrak?
Good - Anyone want [Item of Goodness]
Good - Where is the guy for that quest in that place there?
Bad - Man, I got soooo plastered last night.
Bad - Anything related to politics
Bad - Pointless arguement…
I understand that some non-game related stuff will be brought up in guild chat, Im just asking that it isnt constant.
- You can swear and use ‘leet’ speak HOWEVER I ask that it is kept to a minimum. If you are found constantly swearing or typing like ‘ i o\/\/n3d him’ It will warrent an offence. Basically keep it to a minimum please.
- Contribute. People that give things to other people in the guild are noticed. So are people that don’t. If you take up a major crafting position, you’re expected to answer the guild’s call. Do it. We don’t want any greedy people that don’t share.
- Don’t abandon a party before all members are done the quest. Obviously there will be times where it can’t be avoided but if you don’t have time to help everyone in the party finish, don’t join the party in the first place.
- Be honest… I mean this with all players. There is no use in lying, cause its only a game. This means especially no scamming other players. If we find proof that you are scamming, there is no warning, only automatic removal from the guild.
- Follow the loot distribution rules.
- Do not beg for help or items. ESPECIALLY in guild chat. You can ask a couple times, but do not spam the channel. People often have other plans and can’t always help. If they can, they will. But they’re not expected to.
- Watch what you say in general. I know some of you like to banter back and forth in General channel but respect the fact that this guild has a reputation and as part of it, you are expect to try and not start public fights.
- No Corpse Camping. I don’t care if the guy camped you. Revenge is petty… Kill him once, if he comes back at you, do it again. Don’t sit there and wait for him. Exeptions - People on the KoS list, Lowbie Killers and Zergers.
- No lowbie killing. We don’t follow the red means dead philosophy. Don’t kill players 8 or more levels below you. If they attack you, then feel free… if you are in a huge raid, then also feel free. Exeptions - People on the KoS list.
- Fight with honor. Don’t run in just cause death is painless. Try and play with skill and do your best regardless of the penalty for failure.
- Listen to the leader of the RAID or Party. If we are raiding or grouping even, listen and respect the leader. When I lead a raid, I expect the members to listen to the commands so we can stay organized and strong.
- No arguements in guild chat. Simple as that. If you want to argue with someone, it is your perogitive, but do it in whisper. If the dispute can not be resolved feel free to inform the officers of the guild if you need mediation.
- Please remember you are part of a whole, anything that can bring a bad reputation to the guild is a reason for a warning, repeated offenses can get you kicked. You care about your guild, and we will care about you. Simple.
